For students over 50 who want to study Italian and learn more about Italian and Florentine culture, the ABC School offers from 1 to 6 week-programs. 20 ITALIAN LANGUAGE LESSONS/WEEK (2 grammar group lessons + 2 conversation group lessons a day) and a reserved CULTURAL PROGRAM (3 activities a week): Sample of program: - Florence city guided tour - Visit: San Miniato church and Piazzale Michelangelo - Cooking course and dinner at the teacher’s house - Excursion on Saturday to Siena or Lucca or Pisa or Arezzo (with all the other students). - Visit: the Uffizi Gallery (or the Accademia Gallery); - Visit: the Oltrarno - Visit: the Cathedral - Wine, cheese and other tastings - Culture lectures - For 1 week program we suggest to stay 7 nights in order to take part in the excursion on Saturday. All the activities are held by ABC school teachers, visits to the museums are with ABC school teachers who are also licensed tour guides. Activities are included but the students should pay for their own museums entrance fees and bus/train tickets. Timetable flexible and by arrangement (generally these lessons take place in the morning). The duetto course begins every MONDAY. Number of lessons recommended per day: 1 (min)- 6 (max). ABC provides a unique opportunity for students to learn the basics of the gilding trade alongside Italian language lessons. In the afternoon: In collaboration with a school located a stone's throw away from Ponte Vecchio, students have the opportunity to engage with a gilder of wooden works and a restorer of paintings. Students usually don’t go home for lunch: very close to the school there are bars, restaurants and pizzerias. If you choose a room with halfboard you will have your dinner with your host family. In Italy we usually eat around 20:00. Please, inform your host family if you have any allergies or intolerances. - Bed-linens and towels are provided and changed once a week. - Rooms are cleaned before the student’s arrival. The students are responsible for the cleaning of their room and of the common spaces (kitchen and bathroom). - Electricity, gas and water expenses are included in the price. - Price per student.

The ABC School in Florence provides accommoda- tion for enrolled students. Our accommodation are located within a maximum of 20-30 minutes walk from the school, in different types of homes. The school provides accommodation from Sunday (the day before the course starts) until Saturday morning (the day after the course finishes). An extra night on arrival or departure is possible. - Bed-linens and towels are provided and changed once a week. - Rooms and independent apartments are cleaned before the student’s arrival. The students are responsible for the cleaning during their stay.

- После того, как курс начал там не возвращаются для любого размещения или другой элемент забронированы.
- Нет возврата обучение даны для опоздания, в случае раннего отъезда или отсутствия, по какой причине, от классов во время любого курса.
- Если студент отсутствует для одной или нескольких недель в то время, может быть организована для продолжительности курса быть продлен без каких-либо дополнительных затрат.

Политика возврата

- Если курс отменен более чем 16 дней до начала курса: % возврат средств
- Если курс отменяется менее чем 15 дней до даты начала будет снята полная стоимость.

Отказа в выдаче визы

- Если не предоставлено въездную визу и школа сообщается о более чем дней до даты начала, будут применяться следующие обвинения:
- Регистрационный взнос
- занятий в неделю
- недели проживание
- Если не предоставлено въездную визу и школа сообщил между и дней до даты начала будут применяться следующие обвинения:
- Регистрационный взнос

- Остаток будет возвращен студенту после получения первоначального письма отказ VISA.

To enroll it is necessary to send 30% of the fee of the chosen course as one of the following options: cash, by bank transfer or by credit card. Bank expenses are charged to the student. In the case of a cancellation before the beginning of the course, the school will retain the deposit. The ABC school reserves the following rights:
to make no refunds once the course has begun; to change course programmes without any prior notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.

Как забронировать языковой курс / проживание?
 
Booking with us is really easy. You just have to go to the link of the school you are interested in. Where it says COURSE and then START, you select the dates you wish to study there. Afterwards, you select how many weeks you want to study.

You then select the course you wish to attend. You can add optional services, such as accommodation and airport transfer. If you would like to add these additional services, you need to go further down the page where you will find the section relating to ACCOMMODATION. You select the option of the type of accommodation you want (You do not have to select the dates here if they are the same as the course - they are automatically selected).
After the Accommodation, you have another option,  that of TRANSFER. This option allows you to book a transport that will pick you up at the airport and will take you to your residence or host family.

Once you have selected all these options, on your right hand side, you are going to see a summary of your reservation with all the information about the course and the accommodation, together with their prices. Also, the deposit you have to pay will be displayed there. You just have to press the Orange Button that says BOOK NOW and this will take you to another page to enter your personal details. When you are booking you only have to pay the little deposit. After that, we will contact the school and request your booking. When your booking is confirmed by the school or host, they will hold your place until the your booking balance is paid in full. The same applies for the accommodation. You can pay either with credit card, paypal account or bank transfer; as you prefer. This deposit you pay now will be discounted from the total price. The rest of the money will not have to be paid until 15 days before your course starts. In any case, you will be receiving emails about your deposit payments; and also, reminders about the rest of the money when it needs to be paid.

The start dates of intensive and standard language courses are generally flexible. If you have some basic knowledge of the language, you will be able to start any Monday of the year at almost any school. If you are a total beginner, courses usually start once or twice a month.
You should be aware that language schools have more students in July and August than during any other time of year, which means that course fees, housing prices and the overall cost of living are often more expensive during this time. If you would like to book a course in July or August, you should do so very early: schools have limited spots and might be booked well in advance for the high season. Your chances to get your preferred housing type are also greater if you book your course early. Housing options near the school are especially difficult to secure in the summer and tend to fill up quickly.
Language courses during the low season (September to June) are not only less expensive, but also have smaller classes. If you are able to wait to take your courses during this time you will pay less for your courses, and  you may even receive better housing, since demand is much lower.
